Diving the Outpost and Daniels Reef

We headed out on Friday afternoon with 7 keen divers to explore the Leigh Coast. 10-15 knot winds and a 1m swell limited our options, but we were still able to tuck into the Outpost for our first dive. We immediately dropped on to a large stingray which was cruising along the sand at 12m depth. There were also many goatfish huddled on the sand in small groups.

We surfaced from this dive and headed across to Daniels Reef for our second dive. This site was a little more exposed and we swayed with the surge as we made our way along the reef. The surge reduced as we dropped to about 15m and explored the many crevices and swim throughs.

Congratulations to Jerry and Mimi on completing your PADI Advanced Open Water course.
